Backyard Party Porta Potty Checklist for Rowlett Hosts
Published August 11, 2026 · Reviewed October 6, 2026 · Paul Rental Works
A porta potty keeps party guests out of your house and off your septic. This checklist covers how many to rent, which type, when it arrives and where it goes.
How many porta potties for a backyard party?
One unit covers about 50 guests for a 4-hour party. A 60-guest party with drinks running 6 hours needs 4 units: 2 for the guests, 1 for the longer party and 1 for alcohol. Use our calculator for your exact count.

Standard or deluxe?
Pick a deluxe unit with a sink for graduation parties, showers and nicer gatherings. A standard unit is fine for casual cookouts. A deluxe unit often costs about the same as a standard unit plus a hand-wash station.
When does it arrive?
Party units are delivered one business day before and picked up the next business day after. A Saturday party gets a Thursday or Friday drop and a Monday pickup at one flat price.
