How many porta potties does a festival need?
A festival needs 1 standard unit per 50 attendees for 4 hours, plus 1 unit per 100 attendees for each extra block of hours, plus 1 per 100 if alcohol is served. At least 5% of each cluster must be wheelchair-accessible, and plan 1 hand-wash station per 4 toilets near food.
Worked example: 1,000 attendees over 8 hours with beer sales. 1,000 ÷ 50 = 20 base units. Longer than 4 hours: add 10. Alcohol: add 10. Total 40 units, including 2 accessible units per 40-unit cluster. Hand-wash: 40 ÷ 4 = 10 stations.
How are festival porta potties serviced?
Multi-day festivals are serviced between days, usually early morning before gates open. Each visit pumps tanks, restocks paper and sanitizer, refills hand-wash water and cleans every surface. Single-day events over about 8 hours with big crowds benefit from a mid-day service.

Book it in one call
Call before the routes fill up. Dispatch confirms the delivery day, placement and total price on the first call. Live answer Mon–Sat 7am–7pm.
How should porta potty clusters be laid out?
Set clusters at each end of the event and near food and beer areas, never in a single row far from the crowd. Doors face a walkway, accessible units sit on the firmest ground at the end of each row, and the service truck needs a lane to reach every cluster.

Questions customers ask about this rental
5 questions callers asked before booking, answered by our Rowlett dispatch team.
Ask dispatch: (469) 326-3946How many accessible units do I need for a public event?
The 2010 ADA Standards, section 213.2, require that where portable toilets are provided in a cluster, at least 5% (and no fewer than one) of the units in each cluster are accessible. Confirm your exact need with your event permit office.
How many hand-wash stations do I need?
Plan 1 hand-wash station for every 4 toilets when food is served, and at least 1 near any food or vendor area. On job sites, place a station next to the toilets.
Can I get extra cleanings?
Yes. Extra service visits can be added to any rental, for example on Thursday and Sunday for a 4-day festival. Each extra visit has a per-unit price that dispatch quotes on the call.
Do I need a permit for a porta potty in Rowlett?
Usually not on private property, such as your driveway or a job site. A permit can be needed on a public street, sidewalk or park. Events with 100 or more people or on public property need a City of Rowlett special event permit, which lists portable restrooms as temporary structures.
How far ahead should I book for a big event?
Book 2–4 weeks ahead for spring weddings, graduation weekends, July 4th and fall festivals. Deluxe sink units and restroom trailers sell out first. Standard units can usually be booked a few days ahead.
